Come join us at the Royal Oak Public Library's monthly Thursday night book club meeting. Copies of the book are available behind the reference desk. Please contact the event organizer if you need a large print or audiobook version of the book. Registration is not required.
January's book: Less by Andrew Sean Greer.
It's bad enough that midlist novelist Arthur Less is approaching his 50th birthday, but now his much younger ex-boyfriend is getting married. To avoid the wedding, Arthur accepts invitations, however dubious, from literary events worldwide. Thus begins an around-the-world-in-eighty-days fantasia that will take Arthur Less to Mexico, Italy, Germany, Morocco, India and Japan and put thousands of miles between him and the problems he refuses to face. What could possibly go wrong?
