To celebrate April is Poetry Month, ROPL is hosting a poem contest! Submissions can be sent starting Saturday, March 1!
This year's theme is "Spring," take that as you may!
The winners - first prize, second, and third - will receive a $100, $50, and $25 gift certificate, respectively, to Amazon. The poem will be reviewed by a team of four librarians, who will be using a rubric and meeting early April to evaluate your work.
The last day to submit a poem is April 1. Submit your poem to andrew.field@romi.gov.
You must be 18 years old or older.
Winners of the contest will have the opportunity to read their poems at a poetry reading and open mic at the library on April 16!
