Poetry About Paintings Workshop

There is an ancient tradition in poetry writing, that involves writing about paintings. It's called ekphrastic writing. What do we take away from a painting? How might we communicate this in a poem? In this workshop, we will begin by looking at some ekphrastic poems. Then we will, with the help of some monographs on art, write ekphrastic poems ourselves. No expertise needed. Come one, come all!
