Event Details
The history of Oakland County is often told in stories of settlers in wagons coming to start farms, but the human history of the county begins thousands of years before that. This presentation by Carol Bacak-Egbo explores that early history and the challenges of researching it.
Carol Bacak-Egbo is an award-winning historian, researcher, educator and strong advocate for the appreciation and preservation of local history. She is the historian and archaeology consultant for Oakland County Parks and serves as historian for Oakland County in general.
