Learn the basic of Fly Fishing from Fly Fisherman that work at the Royal Oak Orvis store on Woodward Ave.
Fly Fishing is an angling technique that uses an ultra-light lure called an artificial fly. Fly Fishing primarily targets predatory fish that have significant amount of very small-sized prey in their diet and can be done in fresh or salt water.
The presentation will cover the basics of fly fishing including the difference between fly fishing and conventional fishing. It will cover most of the popular species of fish to target while fly fishing. The basic gear needed. The presenters will go over where to fish throughout Michigan (heavy on Southeast Michigan). Plus go over in-depth, hands-on training to cast a fly rod.
