Program Type:
Sustainability & the EnvironmentProgram Description
Event Details
Michigan has a goal to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030. To do our part, Royal Oak Sustainability has launch several programs and initiative to help residents, and businesses learn how to reduce food waste through better purchasing habits, composting, and food donation programs.
Join Royal Oak Sustainability as we welcome Sara Covatta of Suburban Rat Haters Guide to Composting as she covers the basics of at-home composting, and takes a deeper dive into the Bokashi method of composting. You'll leave with the information and resources you need to start composting.
You will also have a chance to see the new Composting Guide developed for residents interested in backyard or indoor composting. A digital copy can be sent to you after the presentation.
Questions can be sent to sustainability@romi.gov
