Program Description

Event Details

Meeting of the Royal Oak Garden Club

Ann Cline first fell in love with Irises in 1980 and acquired over120 varieties the first year that evolved into over 800 varieties and became a licensed iris nursery. Her iris garden was featured on many bus tours.  She loved irises so much that she operated a mail direct mail business selling all things "iris."  Today Ann no longer operates that business or garden, but her knowledge and love of irises are still mainstays in modern iris culture.  She is an accredited Iris Judge through the American Iris Society, and a member of the Iris Club of Southeast Michigan.

Although Ann's presentation will concentrate on bearded irises, she will also provide information about Siberian and Japanese irises so that audience members can tell the differences. The presentation is education counts for one hour of education for Master Gardeners.
