Event Details
There is something really important and refreshing about learning where we come from. We all are born into the world with a heritage, and when we have the opportunity to explore this heritage, we might feel as though we were greeting our own selves in a more authentic way. This workshop will provide an opportunity, with some basic guidance, to use and explore Ancestry.com, one of the best sites available for exploring one's family history. The site is free inside the library, and we will take full advantage of this. This program is for anyone who's ever wondered about where they come from, and in the spirit of Thanksgiving, we hope we will be able to help instantiate some family connections. Feel free to bring your own laptops; if not, we will supply laptops for each registrant. Please bring in addition any information that will aid in your search - grandparents' names, dates of birth, family trees, and things of that nature. Happy hunting!
